Paraskevi is a 32-year-old woman, who has been struggling ever since she was just a child, since she has been diagnosed with ΜcCune-Albright syndrome, a severe disorder which is caused by a genetic mutation and which manifests itself in endocrine disorders, obesity and deformity of the bones. Due to this disease, her cranial bones and her lower extremities are severely deformed. She is unable to walk, while till this day, she has been subjected to numerous surgical procedures to her right leg. When Paraskevi was 22 years old, she started to gain weight due to the presence of endocrine disorders. Today however, the excessive weight is putting pressure on her diaphragm, which gradually puts a strain on her cardiovascular system.

According to the doctor who monitors her condition, Paraskevi needs to be immediately subjected to a bariatric surgery, which will help her gradually reach the desirable weight. Unfortunately, Paraskevi doesn’t have the means to cope with the cost of the surgery, since due to her health condition, she is unable to work.

All these years, Paraskevi has been struggling in silence, trying to cope with the challenges of this disease. Today however, she needs our help. Let us all join forces and offer this young woman the chance to be subjected to this life-saving surgery!
