Konstantina is an 11-year-old girl who has been diagnosed with a severe form of scoliosis. It all started about a year ago, when her parents noticed their daughter’s posture. Her spine had a visible curve, while her shoulders were uneven. Konstantina immediately visited a spine specialist, who referred her to imaging tests and a few days later she was diagnosed with adolescent idiopathic scoliosis. Konstantina has been wearing a scoliosis brace for the past 10 months. So far, the treatment seems to be working, since the curve of her spine has been significantly reduced.

However, due to the rapid development of her bones, the vertebra which presented with the most deviation, are now at a higher position. As a result, the support points of the brace are now pressuring on the wrong points. According to Konstantina’s doctor, the brace should be immediately replaced with a new one, which will meet the young girl’s somatometric data. Unfortunately, Konstantina’s parents are experiencing financial hardship, therefore they are unable to cope with the cost of the new brace.

Little Konstantina urgently needs a new scoliosis brace. If it’s not replaced soon, her posture will deteriorate. This young girl needs us. It’s up to us to help her out. Together, we can make it happen!
