Σύντομη Περιγραφή

4 years ago, Konstantinos contracted a herpes virus type 6, which led to a serious inflammation of the brain and spinal cord. Konstantinos had to remain hospitalized for a long period of time, while 6 months ago, he was transferred to a rehabilitation center. When the 55-year-old father was admitted to the center, he was in a really bad shape, since he couldn’t move his extremities. After the physiotherapy program he is daily subjected to for the past 6 months, the muscles of the arms and torso have become a lot stronger. The physician’s next goal is to help him regain his speech, strengthen the muscles of the lower extremities, and improve his respiratory functions, so that he can finally remove the tracheostomy.

Konstantinos got confined to the bed due to an infection! He needs our immediate support!

Πληροφορίες Εκστρατείας

Konstantinos has always been an energetic man. He had his job, his friends, and a beautiful family. 4 years ago however, his life turned into a nightmare. Konstantinos’ gait became unsteady, while his vision was gradually getting worse. At first, he didn’t think much of it. A few days later however, he collapsed. Konstantinos was immediately transferred to the hospital, and after being subjected to a series of tests, he was diagnosed with an infection caused by a herpesvirus type 6, which led to a serious inflammation of the brain and spinal cord.

The physician’s next goal is to help him regain his speech, strengthen the muscles of the lower extremities, and improve his respiratory functions so that he can finally remove the tracheostomy.

Konstantinos’ family has found themselves in a dead end, since his wife’s salary constitutes their sole source of income. As a result, they are unable to cope with the unbearable cost of his hospitalization. The family recently reached out to ACT OF KINDNESS, and after a thorough inquiry of our interdisciplinary staff, we decided to support this family, who are facing an uphill struggle.

Konstantinos’ life was shattered into pieces. If he remains, however, in the center, his condition will show improvement. Together, we have the power to help him out. So let us all join forces and offer him a second chance in life!
