Marianna is a 10-year-old girl who has been facing a lot of challenges, since she has been diagnosed with severe psychokinetic delay! When the little girl came into this world, she seemed perfectly healthy. As months went by however, her mother noticed that she wasn’t reaching her developmental milestones. Marianna had to visit numerous doctors of various specialties and to be subjected to a series of tests, however the doctors were still unable to find an answer for her symptoms.

Marianna is unable to speak, while she took her first steps at the age of 8 years old. To this day, the cause of her condition remains unknown. During the first few years of her life, she was being subjected to physiotherapy and speech therapy. Treatments which are essential for her condition. Over the past few years however, the child is being deprived of her treatments, since her parents have reached a dead end and they are unable to cope with her ever-increasing, health-related expenses. In addition, her mother had to quit her job, since the little girl requires care on a 24 hour basis.

Marianna has been struggling ever since she came into this world. Things that are considered a given for all children her age, constitute a struggle for her, since she never got the chance to run, to play, to speak, to read. Today, she needs our help. So let us all join forces and offer this sweet little child the chance to be subjected to the required treatments and to claim a better quality of life!
