Miranda is a 49-year-old woman, who suffered a severe car accident about one year ago. Even though the doctors managed to save her life, the mother of three sustained severe injuries to her spinal cord and cervical spine. After a long-term hospitalization and a long surgery, Miranda was transferred to a rehabilitation center, where she remains to this day, fighting an uneven battle in order to regain her motor skills. According to the medical staff of the center, Miranda will have to remain there for at least three more months, while as soon as she returns home, she will require the proper medical equipment, such as the adjustable bed, the wheelchair, the BiPap machine and the lifting crane that will allow her safe transfer. Unfortunately, Miranda’s family is unable to cope with the cost of her hospitalization, while they cannot possibly afford the purchase of the equipment that is essential for her survival. In a blink of an eye, Miranda’s life was shattered into pieces. An energetic woman, full of life, suddenly found herself confined to a bed. We cannot turn back time. We can, however, help out this family, who has found themselves in the greatest dead-end of their lives. Together, we can make it happen!
