We are excited to announce that we have managed to gather the amount that was required for Valentina’s life-changing surgical operation. The little girl form the city of Larnaka, who has been diagnosed with brain paralysis that has been affecting her motor skills, is about to seize the opportunity in order to be subjected to a selective dorsal rhizotomy, an innovative procedure which is being performed in the United States. Valentina finally has the chance to make her dreams come true, to be able to walk on her own and to claim a future full of health like any other kid!
We have managed to gather the amount of 45,732,08 euros, from donations made by people in Greece, Cyprus and many other countries around the world. The family’s public health insurance in Cyprus, has offered the sum of 29,000 euros for the little girl’s hospitalization, while an online platform abroad has managed to gather 33,920 euros in donations.
After joining our forces, we have managed to reach our funding goal!
Little Valentina and her family are packing their bags and after completing the burocratic process, they will be arriving to the Children’s Hospital of St.Louis in Missouri.
We are sending our wishes and our positive energy to this family, hoping that everything goes well and that the surgery is a success!

Within just a few days, we have managed to cover the needs that have surfaced due to Irini’s condtion, the young mother of 3 children, who is battling cancer. Irini was recently diagnosed with stomach cancer. As a result, she has been subjected to a total gastrectomy. Currently, she is being subjected to oncology treatments (chemotherapy and radiation therapy), in order to avoid any recurrence. Within just a few days, we have settled the cost for the diagnostic tests that couldn’t be conducted in a public facility, the cost for her transportation from the small town where she resides to the hospital of Thessaloniki, as well as her post-operative nutrition.

A few days ago, Konstantina-Athina was subjected to a liver transplant, while her father was the donor. Even though her body didn’t reject the transplanted organ, there have been some complications that made her family even more worried. The doctors discovered a bile leak into the abdominal cavity. As a result, the little girl was subjected to 3 more surgical procedures. These back-to-back surgeries and anesthesia have taken a great toll on the baby’s health; however, the doctors were able to repair the damage. The next few days are critical, since our little heroine is being hospitalized in the PICU, battling with infections that were caused by the bile leak.
Due to this unforeseen turn of events, the family’s stay in Palermo will be extended, until the baby’s condition stabilizes and until she recovers from all of these procedures. The family’s expenses turned out to be a lot more than expected, since the father had to be admitted to an intensive treatment plan in order to be approved as a potential donor. Unfortunately this treatment plan is not covered by their health insurance. We will keep on fighting in order to cover the cost of the family’s stay and everyday needs, for as long as they stay in Palermo. Let us all join forces and offer Konstantina-Athina a happy ending to her ordeal. Let us ensure that she wins this battle and makes it back home!

Ever since you were 2,5 years old, you have been fighting this Monster, yet you never complained. The only thing you asked for, was that you were in your room, with your toys, your little sibling and your parents. For the past 5 years, you have been fighting this uneven battle that no child should ever experience. Yet, you never gave up hope, you never lost your smile…
They only thing we can say is WHY. Why should a child suffer like this?
Why did he lose this battle after all he’s been through?
Unfortunately, no one can answer that.
That’s just the harsh reality that we have to face.
No child should be deprived of a proper health care and we’ll always keep on fighting to make sure of that!
Standing by your side for these past two years, have been a great honor and a privilege.
No matter the outcome, you will always be remembered as a fighter and as a winner.

Little boy Nikolas was recently subjected to a series of tests, which were extremely promising, since as it turns out, his bone marrow is now cancer-free! The past 3 months were really hard on Nikolas, the 3-year-old fighter from the island of Corfu, who was recently diagnosed with neuroblastoma, an extremely aggressive form of cancer. Even though he was being subjected to a chemotherapy round, his body wasn’t responding to the treatments. As a result, his family was extremely worried, while the little boy was worn out by the strong medication. However, the new chemotherapy round, was even more powerful than the last one, and it finally paid off! Pretty soon, Nikolas will be subjected to further tests and if everything goes well, he will then be subjected to surgery and bone marrow transplant.

Hold on tight, little guy! We believe in you and we know that you can win this!

A few days ago, he suffered a severe respiratory infection, which led to septic shock and cardiac arrest, and in spite of the doctors’ efforts, he passed yesterday afternoon.
This came as quite a shock, since he was making great progress. For the past 2 months, Giannis was being hospitalized in a rehabilitation center, while he responded really well to his treatment plan.
We would like to kindly thank all of you out there for supporting him, since thanks to your help, we have managed to settle the cost of his hospitalization for a period of 2 months, offering this man a chance to fight for his life with dignity.
The irony of the matter is that the doctors were planning on removing his tracheostomy soon. Unfortunately, an infection can always lead to a setback. Only this time, it turned out to be fatal…
We would like to express our sincere condolences to his family, for their terrible loss.

The results led our beloved to an emergency admission to an oncology hospital in the country and her submission to 4 painful cycles of chemotherapy. The new tests showed that he will have to enter a 5th cycle of chemotherapy before the surgery to remove tumors to which he must undergo according to the protocol. All this time, Maria receives all the necessary treatment and care free of charge, staying in a hostel of the oncology hospital.However, the struggle of the only 6-year-old fighter is expected to be long and her parents are and will continue to be by her side for as long as the needs of her treatments require. Maria’s little brother has been left behind and the parents are constantly moving to the distant country town they live in to see him. The support of all of us is necessary to enable Maria’s parents to meet the costs of maintaining their family for as long as they need to be away from their place without work.Together we can help Maria and her family get back on their feet at this difficult time! Let’s make their struggle easier with our small move!

Our little Nektarios was born 10 days ago in a private clinic in Athens, where he was directly intubated and transferred to the intensive care unit, where he remains to this day. The little fighter was already diagnosed from his mother’s womb with a very serious heart disease and an experienced pediatric heart surgeon offered to operate on him without receiving a medical fee. From the moment the baby came to life, however, he developed additional complications and the doctor deemed it necessary to stay in the intensive care unit for an additional period of time, so that he would develop as much as necessary to successfully perform the life-saving surgery. In general, the child developed many complications and there is a possibility that he may undergo additional operations on other vital organs. The mobilization of all of you was very great and within 1 day we collected not only the amount we set as a goal at the beginning of our campaign, but a total of 7,303.51 euros were collected, which will be allocated entirely to the little one’s hospitalization, as it seems he has big fight ahead of him. Already his stay in the ICU for the next 2 months amounts to 5,500 euros and thanks to the mobilization of all of us it has been secured. We expect to hear developments from the doctors in charge and will be by his side for as long as it takes.
Let’s pray for our little Nektarios to get well soon and find himself healthy in the arms of his parents and his little sister who are eagerly waiting for him!

The procedure was performed in a private facility in Thessaloniki and according to his doctors, the nodules in his lung have been successfully eliminated. Our dear friend is currently recovering at home, while he is being cared for by his family. Since the treatment has been successfully completed, he will be regularly subjected to all the necessary tests in order to prevent any future recurrence. We will keep on standing by his side, along with all of you, who have been supporting him since day one.
