In October of 22’, Stergios suffered a severe motorcycle accident. The young man sustained severe craniocerebral injuries, while he had to remain in the hospital for 16 whole months, where he was subjected to a craniectomy, as well as to an enucleation of the right eye. Over the past two months, the 29-year-old fighter has been hospitalized in a rehabilitation center, where he is subjected to an intensive physiotherapy program, since he hasn’t yet regained his motor skills. The center’s medical staff is confident that he will make a full recovery. However, the young man will have to remain hospitalized for a few more months, in order to get back on his feet and to regain his autonomy.
TRANSPARENCY AND SAFETY GUARANTEE
-The validity of the patient’s information and needs, have been certified by the Act of Kindness Organization’s interdisciplinary staff. (medical-social work department).
-The funding goal has been estimated with accuracy, in order to include the patient’s medical and medicinal needs, after an inquiry conducted by the Organization’s representatives and after the prompt collaboration with the competent healthcare providers.
-The payments are performed directly, from the Organization to the competent healthcare provider, in order to ensure the proper use of the raised funds.
-All the donations are performed through a safe banking environment.
-All the donations are posted one by one on the donation wall of each campaign.
-The donors’ and the beneficiaries’ personal and contact information are protected and are not made public, while complying with the General Data Protection Regulation.
-All the posted data regarding the aid campaigns, such as the photos, the videos, the medical records and the description of the patient’s needs, have been posted only after the beneficiaries’ desire and written consent.

Stergios had always been an energetic young man, filled with dreams for the future. He had his friends, his job, while he enjoyed playing music in his free time. His life however, turned upside down in October of 22’, when the young man suffered a severe motorcycle accident. Stergios was rushed to the local hospital of the island of Rhodes. Due to the severity of his craniocerebral injuries however, he had to be airlifted to a hospital in Athens. The young man remained hospitalized for 16 whole months, while he had to be subjected to a craniectomy, as well as to an enucleation of his right eye. Over the past two months, the 29-year-old fighter has been hospitalized in a rehabilitation center, where he is subjected to an intensive physiotherapy program, since he hasn’t yet regained his motor skills. The center’s medical staff is confident that he will make a full recovery. In order however, to get back on his feet and to regain his autonomy, the young man will have to remain hospitalized for a few more months. Stergios’ family have found themselves in a dead end, since they are unable to cope with the unbearable cost of his hospitalization, which is considered essential for his recovery. As soon as they came in contact with ACT OF KINDNESS, the organization’s interdisciplinary staff proceeded with the necessary steps, in order to organize this aid campaign, which will allow this young fighter to get his life back! Stergios’ life turned upside down from one minute to the next! Over the past one and a half years, the 29-year-old young man is facing an uphill struggle. Even though he lost the ability to walk, even though he lost his right eye, he is not losing his courage! He is determined to fight till the end! We’ll stand by his side throughout this ordeal.

Συνεχίζουμε τον αγώνα μας για τον Στέργιο, το 29χρονο παλικάρι που νοσηλεύεται σε Κέντρο Αποκατάστασης!
Η ζωή του Στέργιου ανετράπη με τον χειρότερο τρόπο, όταν ενεπλάκη σε σοβαρό τροχαίο με τη μηχανή του πριν από ενάμιση χρόνο. Υπέστη σοβαρές κρανιοεγκεφαλικές κακώσεις, που τον καθήλωσαν στο κρεβάτι, ενώ χρειάστηκε να παραμείνει στο νοσοκομείο για 16 μήνες. Υποβλήθηκε σε χειρουργείο στο πόδι, σε κρανιεκτομή, σε κρανιοπλαστική, και σε ολική αφαίρεση του δεξιού του ματιού.
Τους τελευταίους δύο μήνες νοσηλεύεται σε Κέντρο Αποκατάστασης, όπου δίνει τιτάνιο αγώνα για να ξανασταθεί στα πόδια του. Το ιατρικό προσωπικό του κέντρου είναι αρκετά αισιόδοξο ωστόσο τονίζει την αναγκαιότητα της συνέχισης των θεραπειών. Το εντατικό πρόγραμμα φυσιοθεραπείας, εργοθεραπείας και κινησιοθεραπείας στο οποίο υποβάλλεται, δείχνει να αποφέρει τα επιθυμητά αποτελέσματα. Ο νεαρός μαχητής έχει αρχίσει πια να κινεί τα άκρα του, ωστόσο το παρόν διάστημα οι θεραπείες εστιάζονται στο αριστερό του χέρι, το οποίο ακόμη υστερεί κινητικά.
Χάρη στην αμέριστη στήριξή σας, η ΠΡΑΞΗ ΑΓΑΠΗΣ κατάφερε να παρατείνει την παραμονή του στο κέντρο αποκατάστασης. Ο αγώνας μας όμως συνεχίζεται, ώστε να εξασφαλίσουμε την παραμονή του και για τους επόμενους μήνες.
Είναι αποφασισμένος να ξαναπάρει τη ζωή του πίσω. Σ’ αυτόν τον αγώνα, είμαστε στο πλευρό του. Ενώνουμε τις δυνάμεις μας για τον Στέργιο!
