Vaggelis is a 3-year-old boy who has been facing a lot of challenges, since he has been diagnosed with severe developmental disorders. During the first months of his life, everything seemed to be just fine. Nothing could foreshadow the health problems that were to come. As time went by however, his mother noticed that Vaggelis couldn’t maintain eye contact, while he wouldn’t respond to his name. Months went by, and Vaggelis wouldn’t utter his first words. His parents sought professional help, and after consulting with a pediatric psychiatrist and a developmental doctor, the child was diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder.

Today, Vaggelis is three years old. He hasn’t been able to speak, while he still hasn’t developed his fine motor skills. According to the specialist who monitors his development, the little guy needs to be immediately subjected to an intensive program of speech therapy and occupational therapy, which will improve his mental, social and language development.

Vaggelis is daily struggling, however his condition can show improvement. If he has access to the treatments he requires, he’ll soon be able to speak! To play! To have a normal life! The only thing he is asking for, is one chance! Together, we can offer him that chance!
