A specialised team of the Act of Love Organisation carried out an Emergency Assistance Mission and in cooperation with the Ministry-certified organisation Humanity Greece, was in Athens in order to offer immediate support to the fire brigades, volunteers and our fellow human beings who are fighting an unequal battle with the flames. Essentials and valuable medical supplies were delivered to the Humanity Greece Coordination Centre to be distributed to Fire Front Health Centres and then to the Fire Service Commander of the Attica Region.

Our interdisciplinary team is in constant contact and communication with representatives of relevant agencies, municipalities and voluntary organizations in order to offer our services in a coordinated manner in these difficult moments for our country.

Only together united, we will succeed!

For nine years now, our Social Grocery supports our fellow human beings who need us, thanks to the cooperation of our Organization with Boroume and Social Plate - Central Market of Thessaloniki SA, but also to the donations and sponsorships from companies and individuals and the offer of goods from the producers of the farmers' markets.
The offered items are collected and after very careful sorting, respecting the rules of hygiene, we offer them to families, children and adults in need throughout Northern Greece.
More specifically, from 2014 until today, the Social Grocery has served over 1000 families, and today it supports about 150 families and 300 children by offering on a weekly basis essentials, books, clothing and toys with the decisive contribution of our 50 volunteers.
And we continue to go strong, always with a vision of an even better world!

The publications of the Act of Κindness Organization present for the first time the illustrated fairy tale "When An met fear" in a video with narration in Greek and at the same time in Greek sign language and offer it for free to all children!

..because all children have a right to fairy tales!

Today, the representatives of the “Act of kindness” organization in collaboration with the company Joom, while filled with joy and excitement, offered a variety of symbolic gifts to the students and representatives of the Anatolia College, as a token of gratitude for their valuable offer to the Organization’s effort throughout this year. These artistic students have managed to create a variety of collectible items that became available to the public through our e-shop, as well as through other initiatives of the Organization, in order to support children in need!

Today, we have visited the pediatric ward of the "Ippokrateio" General Hospital of Thessaloniki, in order to offer Easter presents and spread smiles to our little friends and their families! All the items were handed to the nursing staff and the hospital’s board members, by members and volunteers of the “Act of Kindness” organization, so that they would be offered to all these children who are spending the holidays without their loved ones. The gift bags included handmade candles (courtesy of Elpida Karagasidou), chocolate Easter eggs and copies of our magazine’s issue that includes a bunch of fun and learning activities.   

We truly wish that these little heroes get better soon and make it back home! 

Today was a day filled with joy and excitement, since thanks to the generous offer of competent bodies, corporations and fruit producers, we have managed to gather half a ton of food products, so that they will be distributed to our fellow citizens in need, who reside in Thessaloniki and other areas of Northern Greece! In the context of our weekly distributions, and always following the health and safety precautions, our volunteers are preparing these "packages of kindness", in order to offer them to children and families in need!

The first humanitarian aid mission to Ukraine was successfully completed by a specialized team of the Act of Κindness Organization!

Thanks to the mobilization and the undivided contribution of all of you, we have already delivered the first part of the humanitarian aid - essentials, medical supplies, clothing - that has been collected recently at the premises of our Organization. The donated items were collected in a place indicated to us by the competent authorities and after the necessary sorting, they were distributed by members and volunteers to children and families who were forced to flee their country because of the war.

We continue the difficult but effective work in war-affected Ukraine!

We keep on participating actively and organizing initiatives in order to provide to our community and to solve societal challenges. With sensitivity and respect, always following the necessary safety measures, we keep on offering on daily basis, essential items, fresh fruit and vegetables and other necessities to our fellow citizens in need. Volunteers and employees, always dedicated to our causes, gather and organize the donated products in order to distribute them to children and families in need! We kindly thank the non-profit organization "Boroume", as well as the fruit producers of the Farmers’ Markets of Thessaloniki, for their defining contribution and support. In defiance of our time, we keep on organizing initiatives in order to support our fellow citizens in need and to improve their quality of life, while aiming to make the world a better place!

Just days before Christmas, we have managed to spread hope and smiles to the children who were being hospitalized in the Pediatrics ward of the "Papageorgiou" General Hospital of Thessaloniki! 

In a festive mood, representatives and volunteers of the Organization, met with the nursing stuff and gave them a variety of handmade wooden boxes filled with toys, in order to be offered to the children who were being hospitalized that time of year. 

The initiative was orchestrated by members of the "Act of Kindness" organization, who, while following all the necessary safety measures, managed to spread the holiday spirit!
