“It was an amazing experience”, said with a big smile on her face, our beloved Vasiliki-Chrisovalanto, a member of Act of Kindness’ big family, who once more managed to make us all proud!

A champion in the track of life and a champion in the Para-track National Championship, she achieved her best performance and won a medal in the javelin event!

A renowned athlete, but also a hero of our Organization, she received a standing ovation by the crowd that was present in the Kaftanzoglio Stadium of Thessaloniki, and along with her fellow athletes, she reminded us that solidarity and sports unite people and make the world a better place!

We will always be there for her, while we sincerely hope that she proceeds with her life journey, with the same passion, smile and strength!

An excellent initiative that filled us with joy and hope was undertaken and successfully implemented by the employees of STASY S.A.!

A unique tournament of love that took place at the Acharnaikos stadium, in order to support our beloved Aggeliki-Nektaria, the young girl who is always smiling, in spite of the hardship she has been experiencing!

Prompted by the soccer match, the CEO of the Urban Rail Transport S.A, Mr. Haris Damaskos, honored our Organization for its social offer, in the presence of the minister of Infrastructure and Transportation, Mr. @christosstaikouras, the mayor of the municipality of Acharnes, Mr. Spiridonas Vrettos, the CEO, Mr. Athanasios Kotaras, the president of Acharnaikos team, Mr. Iliadis Aris, the orthopedic doctor of Acharnaikos team, Mrs. Athanasiou Pagona, and hundreds of other people.

After an initiative of the Urban Rail Transport’s employees and their soccer team, which is well-known for their charity work, a unique love tournament was held today, at the Acharnaikos stadium in Menidi, in favor of our beloved Aggeliki-Nektaria.

On this charity event were present, the minister of Infrastructure and Transportation, Mr. @christosstaikouras, the mayor of the municipality of Acharnes, Mr. Spiridonas Vrettos, the CEO, Mr. Athanasios Kotaras, the president of Acharnaikos team, Mr. Iliadis Aris, and the orthopedic doctor of Acharnaikos team, Mrs. Athanasiou Pagona, who supported in action our Organization's efforts for our beloved Aggeliki-Nektaria.

Just before the game came to an end, we received an honorary award for our Organization’s multiannual charity work! The award was bestowed by the CEO OF the Urban Rail Transport, who we kindly thank for his touching words.

Two veteran teams played for a good cause, driven by the concept of solidarity and humanity. The two teams, PAS Acheron Kanallaki F.C. and Souli Paramythia F.C., met on 27th of April at the Municipal Stadium of Kanallaki, to compete in a friendly game, which was held in honor of Dimitris who had gone missing. The middle school students of Anatolia College, chose the 18th International Marathon Alexander the Great, in order to perform an act of kindness and to support our Organization’s efforts!

Our little friends are a true inspiration for a future guided by the concept of solidarity and selfless offer, while reminding us just how great it is to fight for a better future!

Today, we received a special award for our Organization’s charity work. The award was bestowed by the hosts of the friendly match between PAS Acheron Kanallaki F.C. and Souli Paramythia F.C., which was held as an homage to the family of Dimitris, the veteran footballer who has been missing for the past two and a half months.

Shortly before the beginning of the match and in the crowded Municipal Stadium of Kanalaki, the hosts bestowed awards to citizens and entities who participated in finding the 48-year-old family man who had gone missing. Present at the ceremony were: the archbishop of Paramythia, Filiates, Giromeri and Parga, Mr. Serapion, the deputy head of the regional unit of Epirus, Mr. Vasilis Gorgolis, the Mayor of Parga, Mr. Nikos Zacharias, the Mayor of Souli, Mr. Athanasiou Danis, the representative of I-Fly, Mr. Verbi, Mr. Karagounis Giorgos former player of our national soccer team, , and Mr. Zagorakis Thodoris, former Captain of our national soccer team and currently MEP Candidate representing the party of PASOK.

The award in honor of ACT OF KINDNESS’ charity work was offered by the head of the Social Welfare Center of the regional unit of Epirus, Mrs. Maria Tsolaki, who we kindly thank for her social offer.

In collaboration with the National Transplant Center’s offices in Thessaloniki, the blood donors will also be informed on bone marrow transplant and on how to register in the international database.

This event is organized by the regional Unit of Central Macedonia, the Municipality of Thessaloniki-Kalamaria-Pilea-Hortiatis, the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and the National Blood Donation Center.

They always welcome you with a bright smile and you always call them by their first name!

Some of them remind you of your daughter, your granddaughter, your friend, your mother!

27 women who work among the five locations of the "Drakopoulos Bakery" chain, turned their love for their fellow citizens into action, while inspiring their bosses as well.
After gathering all the tips they had received during the Christmas holidays, the owners of the chain proceeded to double the raised sum.

This act of kindness led to gathering 2.492,10 Euros, which will be equally divided and distributed, through our Organization, to five families who are experiencing severe health or financial problems.

We would like to thank Drakopoulos Bakery and their praiseworthy employees, for offering strength and hope to our fellow citizens.

We could all learn a thing or two from their actions!

 

During these celebrations, institutions, organizations, associations, individuals from all over Greece made the Love Act and organized actions in order to support our work. The camera of our Organization traveled to all places to show the meritorious deeds of our fellow human beings and creates a unique festive episode of the series "Greece of Solidarity" which will be shown on New Year's Eve on our YouTube channel.

A festive e-bazaar was organized by Iraida Etherealstyle with the sole purpose of donating to children suffering from health problems. Kelly Grigoriadou and Iraida are another model example of solidarity and humanity that we all deserve to follow!
