An unexpected and very pleasant surprise awaited us at the premises of the Mantoulidis Schools! On the initiative of the English office of the primary school and coordinated by Mrs. Efi Sidiropoulou and Mrs. Maria Tsiangou, in collaboration with Mrs. Lia Chatzistefanou, deputy headmistress and teacher of the Schools, students of the 6th grade collected gifts and toys from students of all classes in order to spread joy to children all over Greece!
Congratulations to our little friends, the teachers and the management of theE. Mantoulidis Schools for this commendable and commendable act of kindness!

The collected items were offered to our Organization as a symbolic gesture of solidarity, support and recognition of our contribution, sending a message of practical solidarity to our fellow human beings in need!
.Marketing Club Greece brought Christmas to life atMistral Seaside Baron Friday, December 16th, with a unique event for a good cause, entitled Together we are stronger, Together we party. Representatives of Marketing Club Greece and theAct of kindness Organization welcomed all the guests on stage, sending their own wishes and mentioning the importance of the Organization's work. At the same time, they urged all guests to do their own good deed during the evening in order to support little Gabriel, the just two-year-old boy who was recently diagnosed with a serious illness and needs us by his side! With the purchase of each raffle ticket, guests had the opportunity to offer a smile, love and hope to a child in need!
The participation exceeded all expectations and thus the amount of 1,600 Euros was collected, which is now available to meet the needs of the little boy and his family!

A few hours ago, the airlift of our beloved Christina - Areti from Crete to Athens was successfully completed, which was organized and executed under the supervision of the ''Act of Love'' Organization and with its own resources. The airlift of the 28 year old student, who suffers from Spinal Muscular Atrophy Type 2 (SMA), was carried out in cooperation with Greek Flying Doctors, the Crete Ambulance Service and the Attica Rehabilitation Center. The need for the immediate transfer of the young student to the center was imperative as her health condition has deteriorated rapidly and according to the doctors who are monitoring her, her undergoing the necessary treatments is the only hope for a substantial improvement in her quality of life.
Today we all together managed to offer a first chance to Christina - Areti's life struggle. However, the road is long and we need to stand by her side in order for her to be able to "have a more functional and dignified everyday life" as she says.
We continue to dynamically support her struggle. Together we can!

The Child & Family Protection Organization ''Act of Love'' "recommends" to its families the Make-A-Wish (Make-A-Wish Greece)!
It is with great joy and excitement that we inform you that our Organization has started an optimistic collaboration with Make-A-Wish (Make-A-Wish Greece)! The “Act of Love” henceforth “recommends” to the families it supports, the project of Make-A-Wish Greece and urges the children who meet the criteria to join the organization for the fulfillment of their wish.
Make-A-Wish (Make-A-Wish Greece) fulfills wishes of children aged 3-18 who suffer from very serious diseases and have been diagnosed in Greece. Research shows that granting these children’s wishes is an integral part of the healing journey, which is why the organization is committed to granting the wishes of every child who meets the criteria, without any demand from the family.
Granting the wish of seriously ill children is not a gift, nor is it a temporary thing that brings only joy. Each child’s wish journey is unique and special. The anticipation and excitement for the fulfillment of his wish becomes hope, and hope turns into emotional and physical strength necessary for the difficult struggle they are fighting. At the same time, the whole family experiences this valuable experience. It is a journey that ALSO aims at the mental empowerment of parents who see their child smile again and believe in tomorrow.
The conditions for the fulfillment of a child’s wish are the following:
Child or adolescent, aged 3 to 18 years.
Has been diagnosed with a serious life-threatening illness*.
Has not received a wish from another Make-A-Wish Branch.

Mission accomplished! We have ensured that Georgia has everything she needs until her treatments are completed!
50-year-old Georgia, mother of 3, is facing breast cancer for the second time in her life, 13 years after her first treatment, while she was recently subjected to a radical mastectomy. On top of that, she has been lately experiencing financial hardship; therefore she in unable to cope with the cost of her medicinal care and of her transportation to and from the hospital, where she is being subjected to the necessary treatments. As a result, she was overwhelmed with anxiety, which was taking a great toll on her overall condition.
Thanks to your defining contribution, we have managed, within just a few days, to put an end to her agony, since we have covered all the expenses for her medicinal expendables, as well as her transportation to and from the small town she lives in, until her treatments are finally completed!
Georgia is just a breath away from winning this battle for the second time. We sincerely hope that her treatments will be effective.
Dear Georgia, we wish you a speedy recovery, while we are confident that this ordeal will soon be in the past!

We are extremely sorry to say goodbye to Dimitris, the 58-year-old father who passed away so suddenly.
About a year ago, Dimitris suffered a severe head injury, which led to serious craniocerebral injuries. Dimitris was then long-term hospitalized in the ICU, while he was also subjected to numerous brain surgeries, as well as a cranioplasty. According to the doctors who were treating him, it was imperative that he were hospitalized in the high intensity care unit of a rehabilitation center for a minimum of 6 months, so that he could regain his motor skills and at the same time, receive medical care for the underlying conditions he was facing.
Thanks to your defining contribution, Dimitris got hospitalized in the rehabilitation center, and even though his motor skills were showing improvement, Dimitris passed away since his health condition was already burdened.
We would like to express our sincere condolences to his family, who lost their loved one so unexpectedly. We will stand by their side for as long as needed.

Mission accomplished! Together, we have managed to cover the urgent needs of Orestis’ family, for the duration of his treatments!
15-year-old Orestis has been diagnosed with Hodgkin’s lymphoma stage IIIB, a type of lymphatic cancer that destroys the immune system. His family has been facing severe financial hardship, since their daily expenses combined with the expenses that have surfaced due to Orestis’ health condition, have brought the family to a dead end, while the mother had to quit her job in order to dedicate herself to her son’s care.
However, thanks to your defining contribution, we have managed to cover the urgent needs of Orestis’ family, for as long as he will be away from home!
Orestis has recently completed his fourth chemo round, while he will be spending the next few days in the warmth and comfort of his home, until he goes back to the hospital in order to be subjected to the next chemo round.
On behalf of his family, we would like to kindly thank all of you for your defining support. We will keep on standing by this family’s side for everything they might need. Orestis is a true fighter and we are confident that he will soon win this battle and return home for good!
